Photo #6 The semi-recessed fixtures provide a precise clean beam of light to floor displays making the merchandise come to life.
Photo #1 The scope of the project was to create an upscale, museum-like atmosphere. Dramatic lighting for an ever-changing mix of merchandise and movement of floor displays was the design criteria. Creating visual interest, lighting merchandise from small gems to large sculptures, and energy code compliance further challenged the designer.
Photo #7 By directing the light precisely where it is needed using high efficacy lamps and performance optics fewer light fixtures were used. This approach brought the watts/sq.ft. below code requirements. A lighting control panel keeps exterior window displays lit for two hours after closing.
Photo #2 Dark colors provide low reflectance values and increase visual impact of merchandise. Low ambient light levels increase contrast ratios of merchandise without creating glare.
Photo #8 Maintenance is simplified with common lamps in the track and semi-recessed fixtures. 39W MH lamps have high lumen maintenance and long life. The lighting exceeds all expectations.
Photo #3 above and photos #4 and # 5 below The illusion of floating wall displays is created with fluorescent strips to mimic the floating ceiling clouds. 39W MH track lighting is mounted behind ceiling clouds to light merchandise on wall showcases. 39W MH Semi-recessed fixtures provide maximum aiming flexibility to light freestanding cases and floor displays. Interchangeable lenses to change beam spreads offer further flexibility.
Photo #9 The jewelry is well lit and sparkles under high CRI lamps provided by the semi-recessed fixtures. High contrast ratios are used to create visual interest.
